University players head for cover following a lightning strike Friday at Uni.
The Irvine-University football game has been postponed because of rain and lightning.
There was a 20-minute rain delay and then officials called the game because of lighting in the area.
The game is scheduled to be made up Saturday at 4 p.m. at Uni.
Irvine and University were warming up before tonight’s Pacific Coast League football game and heavy rains and lighting struck.
Both teams were ordered into their locker-rooms.
University coach Scott Meyer said his team was ordered into cover by the school trainer.
At Tustin, Woodbridge and Beckman are under way after a 20-minute delay.
