It’s an exciting time for Orange County football fans as high school football gets under way Thursday and Friday night. The players and the coaches have been working hard to prepare for this special time.

OC Sports Zone is looking forward to providing coverage all weekend long and like it’s been from the start, our site will be free with no pay wall.

Our football coverage doesn’t just include Thursday and Fridays, it extends through Saturday and even into Sunday.

We will be covering some key games with stories and pictures. We wish we could be at every game but that’s not possible.

We can still get your favorite team covered. We’re asking coaches and team representatives to help us out by sending scores, highlights and pictures from 10 p.m. Friday all the way up until 3 p.m. Saturday.

Every Orange County football team is important to us and if we can’t be there in person to cover your game, we can still share highlights with our readers.

REPORTING, SUBMITTING PHOTOS

After the game, please email us your final score and a couple highlights and pictures to Tim Burt: timburt@ocsportszone.com and please include first and last names on reports and pictures. We will publish these reports throughout the weekend starting on Friday nights and through the weekend.

Please make sure and include the name and team affiliation of the person reporting so we can verify the information is accurate. If you are sending us a picture, please indicate who took the picture so we can provide credit.

We believe this is a unique opportunity to provide coverage of as many OC football teams as possible.

FOOTBALL SCORES ON OC SPORTS ZONE

We realize schedules and scores are very important to our readers. On our desktop version, we have a score ticker at the top to include football scores. On both mobile and desktop, there will be designated stories in prominent locations with scores and there is also a section called The Score, which has football scores and schedules.

ADVERTISING ON OC SPORTS ZONE

OC Sports Zone is an independent sports website dedicated to sports coverage of our communities in Orange County. We started in July of 2018 and believe strongly that sports can bring communities together. The website is free to readers and not affiliated with any other media company.

The owner and editor is Tim Burt, long-time Orange County sports writer. The co-founder, advertising director and social media director is Gabriel Calderon.

We are appreciative of the support of our advertisers and welcome others to join us to help defray the costs of providing coverage and maintaining the site. If you take out an advertisement, you will be supporting your community. Our audience continues to grow and football season is the peak time for readership.

We welcome pizza places, restaurants and other businesses in Orange County to join us here on OC Sports Zone. Our rates are very reasonable.

For information, please contact our advertising director Gabriel Calderon: gabriel@ocsportszone.com or editor/owner Tim Burt: timburt@ocsportszone.com

We’re also on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram: @ocsportszone
