It’s a big weekend of high school sports in Orange County with the CIF softball finals at Deanna Manning Stadium and the Ryan Lemmon Showcase at Ryan Lemmon Stadium, featuring seniors from Orange County in five baseball games through Sunday.
The CIF baseball finals, featuring Pacifica Christian in the Division 8 championship game at 10 a.m. and Beckman, in the Division 3 final at 4 p.m., will be held Saturday at Lake Elsinore Diamond Stadium.
Pacifica Christian is looking for its first CIF baseball title while Beckman is trying to earn the school’s second CIF crown.
Oxford Academy’s baseball team became the first team from OC to win a title with a 5-4 victory over South El Monte Friday morning in the CIF Division 7 final.
Pacifica defeated Orange Lutheran 3-0 Friday night in the CIF Division 1 softball final at Deanna Manning Stadium.
The Ryan Lemmon Baseball Showcase began Friday night with the Orange Coast League defeating the Orange League 3-2.
