Woodbridge’s football players donned black uniforms at home last year.
Woodbridge football coach Rick GIbson surprised his players before one of their home games last year by unveiling new black uniforms for them to wear.
Gibson and his coaches kept it a secret until before the game and the news was met with a roar from the players. They all loved the new look.
This year, the Warriors will be back to tradition wearing all red uniforms when they take the field on Friday, Aug. 17 against Cypress at University.
The black uniforms will be back at one point.
“Only on special occasions,” Gibson said. “Maybe homecoming or senior night but only once a year.”
