Athletes from University High School signed their national letters of intent to continue their athletic careers in college,
The event was held on April 12 in the school’s gymnasium and 12 of the 13 athletes who will go on to play collegiate sports were honored.
The event was livestreamed and household fans were invited to attend one of the first on-campus recognition events of this pandemic year, according to athletic secretary Meredith Kohl. Coaches, Athletic Director Tom Shrake and Principal Kevin Astor all honored the Uni athletes with remarks.

Emily Markus, tennis, Millikin University
Marta Meinardi, triathlon, University of Denver
Myla Rodrigues, soccer, Iona College
Gabriella Souza, soccer, Dominican University of California
Noah Sperling, baseball, Columbia College of Missouri
