Trabuco Hills football team had a victorious opener defeating Corona 35-0 Friday night in a nonleague game at Trabuco Hills.

“This is the start of something special,” said Coach John Abdelnour. “We came out fired up, ready to go and hitting on all cylinders. What a great win for our players and our community.”
The Mustangs scored on their first three possessions of the game with TD passes from Sammy Murphy to Jake Naso and Jalen Galvanoni-Peatry. A touchdown run by JC Montgomery made it 21-0 at halftime.
The Mustangs put the game away in the fourth quarter with a touchdown run from Zach Porter. Quarterback Troy Fields came on in relief and threw a TD pass to Leo Butler.
The defense had two goal-line stands and forced two interceptions, one by Mason McDonough and one by Nate Flournoy.
