Six University High School athletes sign letters of intent; ceremony postponed

Six University High School athletes signed national letters of intent on Wednesday, according to Meredith Kohl, athletic secretary.

The athletes who signed were:

Stewart Campbell, water polo, UC Irvine

Evan Chien, golf, UCLA

Brian Lou, swimming, Princeton (signed in spring)

Collette Lowengrub, cross country and track, UC Riverside

Marta Meinardi, triathlon, University of Denver

Mya Wang, lacrosse, UC Berkeley

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the traditional in person signing event has been postponed until the spring as a safety precaution, according to Kohl. University officials hope to honor the athletes and recognize their achievements at that time.
