Corona del Mar’s High football program will host its inaugural seven on seven Battle at the Bay Passing Tournament on Friday, June 24, according to Sea Kings Coach Dan O’Shea.
Each team will play three games in each pool. At the end of pool play four teams will be seeded by the standings one through four.
Surf Division teams will meet Wave Division teams in the first game of bracket play.
First place teams will play second place teams and third place teams will meet fourth place squads.
Pool play schedule:
Surf Division
4 p.m., field one, CdM vs. Aliso Niguel
4 p.m., field two, Cypress vs. La Habra
4:30 p.m. field one, CdM vs. La Habra
4:30 p.m., field two, Cypress vs. Aliso Niguel
5 p.m., field one, Cypress vs. CdM
5 p.m., field two, La Habra vs. Aliso Niguel
Wave Division
4 p.m., field three, Foothill vs. Tesoro
4 p.m., field four, San Clemente vs. Dana Hills
4:30 p.m., field three, Foothill vs. Dana Hills
4:30 p.m., field four, San Clemente vs. Tesoro
5 p.m. field three, Foothill vs. San Clemente
5 p.m., field four, Dana Hills vs. Tesoro
The playoffs will be held from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Both the semifinal game and the championship game will be held in the main stadium at CdM.
“Many thanks for Paul Caldera’s coordination of the officials, and the excellent programs that have agreed to join us at this inaugural event at CdM,” O’Shea said in a letter to coaches involved in the event. “Let’s have some fun on a Friday night.”
