Foothill High’s football team notched a 27-7 victory over Coronado in Henderson, Nevada Friday night to open the season.
The game was tied 7-7 at halftime but the Knights finished it out strong.
“The Knight defense came up big with a long interception return for a touchdown by Damien Pasillas,” said Coach Doug Case. “With that momentum the Knights never looked back.
“The offense led by quarterback Luke Peterman and receiver Brady Schrank.
“I was very proud of the kids. We were in a battle in 100 degree evening and they didn’t quit and showed a lot of heart and maturity. We had many contributors and it was a total team effort. We have a lot to work on and build from and the kids are ready for the challenges that lay ahead of us.”
Foothill meets Tustin Friday night and Foothill will be the home team.
