Northwood High football coach Paige Nobles announced Monday that Zack Couey has been named the team’s new offensive coordinator.
“Zack will take over running and calling Northwood’s high powered and efficient offense from Coach Dan Selway,” Nobles said. “Coach Selway left Northwood earlier this off-season to be the offensive coordinator at Capo Valley alongside former teammate and head coach Sean Curtis. I wish Coach Selway nothing but success and he will be missed.
“Coach Couey comes to Northwood’s football program with a lot of football experience and a huge love for the game. One of many advantages hiring Coach Couey is he is very eager to start and his passion for the game shows hugely. He also has tremendous football knowledge.
“Another huge advantage for myself is Coach Couey is an on-campus educator at Northwood so that gives both of us a direct link to strategize with each other when situations might pop-up.”
Nobles added that everyone in the football program wants to “welcome you to our Timberwolf family as our newest coaching member and offensive coordinator.”
