Woodbridge High’s Athletic Booster Club hosted the school’s first Field Goal Challenge at Friday night’s Pink Out game against Irvine at University.
“In partnership with Mike Tripp, director of sales and marketing at Oak Greek Golf Club, we selected a student (Jayla Land) and two adults (Garrett Ledbetter and Nathan Robinson to attempt a 35-yard field goal,” said Booster Club President Jay Lyon.
With a successful kick the contestants would receive a gold membership at Oak Creek.
“No one won but Jayla Land came the closest (coming within) 10 yards of a successful field goal,” said Lyon, who coordinated the event. “Oak Creek is a valued sponsor of WHS Athletics and golf course for the 3rd Annual Warrior Pride Gala and Golf Tournament May 2.”
