Sixteen teams, including defending champion Los Al, entered in Tustin Classic

Sixteen boys basketball teams, including defending champion Los Alamitos, will compete in the annual Tustin Classic Tuesday, Dec. 27 through Friday, Dec. 30 at Tustin High School.

Tustin, coached by Ringo Bossenmeyer, will be the host school.

The championship will be Friday, Dec. 30 at 7:30 p.m.

The tournament has a traditional bracket format with winning teams going to the championship side and teams who lose in the first round going to the consolation side.

Opening round, Tuesday, Dec. 27:

Tesoro vs. Westmont, 1:30 p.m.

Fairmont (SJC) vs. Woodbridge, noon

Laguna Beach vs. Tustin, 9 a.m.

Trabuco Hills vs. Woodcreek, 10:30 a.m.

San Clemente vs. Sage Ridge, Nev., 4:30 p.m.

Beckman vs. Long Beach Wilson, 3 p.m.

Calvary Chapel vs. San Ramon, 7:30 p.m.

Laguna Hills vs. Los Alamitos, 6 p.m.
