Portola’s girls basketball team notched its second victory in a row, defeating Capo Valley 57-24 Thursday night.
Allyson Taboyoyong scored 17 points, made three 3-pointers and had four assists. Donia Maymoun scored 17 points and had 19 rebounds. Moka Saiki had 10 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals and Lindsey Yee had a strong defensive effort.
Estancia 29, Santa Ana Valley 28: Michelle Sanchez and Alejandra Meza each had six points for Estancia while Melia Kenneth had five points.
University 47, Quartz Hill 37: The Trojans captured a victory in the Norco Tournament. Aryn Press scored 14 points, Guilia Roy had 13 points and Claire Kawata had 11 points for University (1-1). Press had nine rebounds and Caitlin Hane seven rebounds. Kawata had six assists.
