Trabuco Hills Coach Mark Nolan said the Mustangs (2-1) will benefit from playing against the talented Villa Park team (1-1).

“I am proud of our guys at all three levels for battling and playing hard and with class for all four quarters in all three games last week,” he said Monday. “We can hold our heads high for playing high-effort football against competition ranked within the top 10 in Orange County. Raising our game can only come from playing and competing against the best.

“We can also thank the solid Villa Park squads for showing us the formations and execution that we must improve at so that we may continue to grow and develop as a program.”

Trabuco Hills players battled to the end, the coach noted.

“I am confident that we have the players to be successful, and we are working diligently to instill a culture of hard work that leads to success. These young men are growing in character, and we as a program are growing the spirit of Mustang family.”
