Newport Harbor captures tournament game while Northwood falls to Santa Fe

Newport Harbor’s boys basketball team defeated La Mirada 54-50 in pool play of the Valley Christian tournament Friday night.

Robbie Spooner had 16 points and Levi Darrow 14 points for the Sailors (2-1).

Santa Fe 67, Northwood 54: Shandon Sharifi scored 28 points and made six 3-pointers for Northwood while Amit Flint and Trent Harper each had 12 points in the game on Saturday.
