The Santa Ana Prep Classic, featuring high school girls and boys basketball teams from the Santa Ana Unified School District, is being held Friday night, March 25 at Godinez High School.
The games will be presented by the RAYA Foundation, according to the foundation’s president Leon Raya.
The players were nominated by their coaches. There will be a 3-point shooting contest prior to the girls game.
The girls game tips off at 6:30 p.m. with the boys game at 8 p.m. Santa Ana High School boys basketball coach Fareed ElMasry, who resigned this week, said he will be coaching one more game Friday night. ElMasry will coach the designated home team and Segerstrom’s Brandon Rogers will coach the visiting team.
Tickets for the event will be available for $8.
