Marc Filia of Irvine and Sean McLain of Beckman were selected to play in the Major League Baseball Scouts Association All-star game Saturday at the MLB Urban Youth Academy in Compton.
The game was attended by scouts from all 30 teams.
Filia played catcher and was 1 for 3 with a run scored. He also threw out a runner trying to steal second base.
McLain played second base and was 1 for 2 with two walks and two runs scored.
The two were on the South team, which defeated the North all-stars 10-4.
