Dave Perkins said Monday he has resigned as Century High School’s head coach. Perkins coached for two full seasons and the spring season.
“The kids were great and I wish them all the success in the world going forward,” Perkins said. “I hope to be coaching somewhere again next year.”
The Centurions finished 0-9 in the fall, 1-4 in the spring season which was delayed by the coronavius pandemic and 0-10 in 2018.
Athletic Director Matt Cavanaugh confirmed Perkins resigned Friday and said as of now, the job will be a walk-on position. Interested candidates should email Cavanaugh: mattcavanaugh@sausd.us to apply.
