Santa Ana College officials are waiting for direction from the California Community College Athletic Association and other governing organizations before making any decisions about fall sports.
The coronavirus pandemic cancelled most of the spring sports season and the future of fall sports is not known, according to sports information coordinator Cammie Lewis.
Athletic officials are planning their first virtual forum on Wednesday, June 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide information and support for student athletes.
The virtual forum will be hosted by Athletic Director Mary Hegarty and it will include administrators, faculty and staff from the athletic department and across campus, according to Santa Ana College officials.
“Student athletes will receive the most current information regarding athletics, athletic counseling, student services support, eligibility, athletic training, and other campus resources available for students during the pandemic,” according to a press release from the school.
Student athletes may sign up by going to the athletic website: www.sac.dons.com
