COSTA MESA 5, ESTANCIA 4: The Mustangs (11-10, 4-7) captured the Bell series vs. Estancia with the Orange Coast League victory Wednesday. Michael Joyce pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits and two earned runs and striking out five. Sam Heil was 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored, Sam Stute was 2 for 3 with a stolen base, Jordan Stucki was 1 for 2 with an RBI, Caleb Robeck was 1 for 3 with a double and two RBI and Vaughn Eberly was 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored.
Estancia (18-5, 6-5) was led by Andrew Mits, who had six strikeouts in five innings, allowing two earned runs. He was also 2 for 3 with a run scored and two RBI. Jake Humphries was 2 for 3 with a run scored. James De La O was 2 for 3 with two RBI.
FULLERTON 14, BUENA PARK 1: The Tribe (16-5, 8-2) was led by AJ Hernandez, who had a no-hitter through 5 2/3 innings before allowing an infield hit. Matt Kim was 3 for 5 with five RBI and a triple and Drake Harris was 3 for 3 with two RBI and three runs scored.
PACIFICA 5, KENNEDY 1: The Mariners (16-7, 4-2) captured an Empire League victory. Johnny Dre Morales pitched a complete game, striking out four and allowing one earned run. Ryan Anema was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored.
WOODBRIDGE 6, NORTHWOOD 2: The Warriors won over Northwood for the second day in a row in a Pacific Coast League game at Northwood. Woodbridge was led by Matt Kuromoto who pitched six innings, allowing two runs and striking out one. Brandon Abernathy finished with a scoreless inning.
Nate Perry had three hits, scored two runs and walked once. Kuromoto had two hits and two RBI, Sean McCance had two hits and an RBI, Tony DeMarco had two hits and Dylan Blakey, and Jake Haruki each had a hit and an RBI. Woodbridge (16-6, 10-2) is in second place behind league leading Beckman, which defeated Portola 7-1 on Wednesday.
SERVITE 1, MATER DEI 0: The Friars (11-8, 5-6) notched a Trinity League win Wednesday. Mikiah Negrete pitched a complete game, allowing one hit and striking out six. Agustin Gutierrez had a home run and had multiple hit effort along with Roman Martin.
