The Orange County Health Officer has issued orders for everyone in Orange County prohibiting all public gatherings of any number of people, including at work in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The order is effective immediately through March 31, but can be extended or amended at anytime, according to the press release.
The order says:
“All pubic and private gatherings of any number of people, including places of work, occuring outside a single or household or living unit are prohibited,” the order reads in part.
There are exceptions such as all government services, health care operations, first responders, court personnel and law enforcement personnel.
Also, grocery stores may remain open along with a number of businesses, including banks, gas stations, newspapers, television, radio and other media services. laundromats and restaurants that prpreare and serve food for delivery and takeout.
Those who violate the order are subject to fine, imprisonment or both.
