Portola 82, Tesoro 41: The Bulldogs won their CIF 2A playoff opener Thursday night and guard Moka Saiki set a school record with 41 points. Saiki also made nine 3-pointers, a school record.
Tesoro was led by Celine Castaneda, who had 12 points.
Portola moves on to the second round Saturday against St. Mary’s Academy.
Woodbridge 61, Orangewood Academy 42: The Warriors won their CIF Division 1 playoff opener Thursday night.
Milan Heisdorf scored 26 points, Hana Watanabe 11 points and Teagan Burrus 10 points to lead Woodbridge (17-10).
Woodbridge hosts Marlborough in the second round Saturday night.
Godinez 47, Muir 26: The Grizzlies won their CIF 4A playoff opener at home Thursday night.
Joanna Alcocer had 16 points, Mariana Lagunas nine points and Lizbeth Lagunas six points to lead Godinez, which plays at Desert Christian Academy Saturday.
