PHOTOS: Segerstrom opens Estancia Coast Classic with victory over Rubidoux

Segerstrom High School’s boys basketball team opened the Estancia Coast Classic with a 61-43 victory over Rubidoux Monday night at Estancia.

The Jaguars (4-8) were led by senior Chris Negrete, who had 20 points; junior Heber Quero, who had 11 points; and senior Isaiah Velasquez, who had 10 points.

“We played a great second half,” said first year coach Eddie Andrade. “Our energy picked up and we started sharing the ball a lot more. Proud of how the guys played.”
