Calvary Chapel’s boys basketball team gave California San Ramon a battle before losing 59-55 Tuesday in the opening round of the Tustin Classic.
Calvary Chapel, which competes in the 3A division, was trying to pull off the upset over California, ranked No. 46 in the state in Division 1.

Calvary Chapel battled back from a 10-point deficit to tie the game 52-52 with 2:25 remaining.
California was led by Luke Wallace, the game high scorer with 20 points. Gavin Russell scored 13 points and Tyler Peterson 12 points to lead Calvary Chapel.
