Beckman High’s graduating seniors who played on the water polo teams were celebrated Thursday night in North Tustin.
Thirteen players from both the boys and girls squads gathered with their celebratory lawn signs marking their place on the lawn practicing social distancing standards by being more than six feet apart from each other.
Almost 100 cars of peers, teammates, community supporters, family and friends drove around in decorated cars cheering on the Class of 2020. Graduation ceremonies in the Tustin Unified School District have been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Thursday night would have been graduation night, but rather than focusing on the loss of part of their senior year there was a celebration of the accomplishments and successes of this group of graduates, friendships made and the love of their families.
Some of these students are headed to play college water polo at schools such as Occidental College, Harvey Mudd and Chapman University and they all have bright futures ahead. Screamin’ Ice Cream joined in the fun, as well as the Tustin Police Department zoomed by with sirens on to cheer on the crowd and graduates.
The graduates were: Aidan Miller, Alyssa Nguyen, Andrei Gogosha, Bena Patel, Eli Schwarz, Elias Chaanine, Elias Martinez, Elijah Clark, Izzy DeSouza, Jillian Miller, Joe Waltz, Patrizia Scuro and Taiga Kobayashi.
