Pacifica Christian High School’s standout basketball player Houston Mallette plans to sign his national letter of intent on Thursday in a ceremony at the school, according to Athletic Director Brandon Gonzalez.
“He originally verbally committed to play at Penn State, de-committed over the last 10 days after their head coach Patt Chambers resigned,” Gonzalez said in an Email to OC Sports Zone Tuesday.
Gonzalez said the 6-5 Mallette has narrowed his four schools to University of Tulsa, Wake Forest, Loyola University-Chicago and Pepperdine University. Mallette is a senior at Pacifica Christian and has one more year left with the Tritons. The season is scheduled to start in March 2021.
