Estancia High School’s baseball team defeated Saddleback 16-2 Tuesday afternoon at Saddleback to inch closer to the Orange Coast League title.
The Eagles (17-5, 9-2) can wrap up the title Friday night with a victory over Saddleback at TeWinkle Park. The game begins at 7 p.m.
Freshman Lincoln Silva (2-0) earned the victory Tueday for the Eagles. He pitched six innings, allowing no earned runs, four hits and struck out eight.
Freshman Sawyer Atkinson was 2 for 4 Â with three runs scored, three RBI and a home run; Cole Lefebvre was 2 for 5 with run scored, two RBI and a double; John Uchytil was 2 for 5 with two runs scored, three RBI, a double and a triple; James De La O was 1 for 4 with three runs scored, two RBI and a double and Jake Humphries was 4 for 5 with a run scored and three RBI.
