Edison High School shortstop Emma Mendoza signed a national letter of intent to play college softball at Cal State Monterey Bay, according to her father Tom.
Mendoza had a .420 batting average during the last abbreviated season, cut short by the coronavirus pandemic.
Mendoza also plays for the SoCal A’s Marinakis/Jaquish under-16 National travel club team for Coach Kostas Marinakis.
Mendoza still has one more year with Edison and will be a four-year starter for the program. She plans on earning her degree in kinesiology at Cal State Monterey Bay.
