Crean Lutheran’s girls basketball team had quite a season, advancing all the way to the semifinal round of the CIF 4A playoffs and into the state tournament.

But the Saints, coached by Kelsi Walker, also excelled in the classroom.
“Our girls basketball team won the CIF Academic Team Championship for the second year in a row,” said Athletic Director Eric Olson.
The team was honored at an Angels game this week. The girls golf team was runner-up for the same award, Olson said.
“Our team GPA was 3.91,” Walker said.
