Boys basketball

EUCLID EXTRAVAGANZA

Sunny Hills 74, Irvine 54: The Lancers (6-1) move on to face Pacifica in the championship semifinals Friday night at Garden Grove. Irvine (5-3) was led by TaewonKim with 12 points, Jaesang An with 10 points and Jalen Yim eight points.

Irvine has been without star forward Cooper Stearns, who separated his shoulder diving for a ball out of bounds in the semifinals of the Rancho Alamitos Tournament last week vs. Tustin, according to Coach Harry Meussner. Stearns is expected to be out four to six weeks but the coach said he hopes Stearns will be ready for league.

Newport Harbor 72, Western 39: The Sailors (5-2) were led by Jack Berry who scored 15 points and had five assists and Riggs Guy who had eight points.

Fullerton 54, Godinez 37

Pacifica 55, El Modena 39

Crean Lutheran 77, Narbonne 30: The Saints (2-2) were led by Kaiden Bailey, who had 20 points and Milanas Luksas who had 13 points.

Servite 81, Cerritos 73: Servite (3-1) was led by Jake Schutt, who had 28 points and Joaquin Rigdon, who had 12 points.

El Dorado 59, Santa Fe 17: Andrew Salvador had 14 points, Nathan Meek 12 points and nine rebounds and Erik Eng 10 points to lead El Dorado. The Golden Hawks finished on a 29-5 run to finish the game including a scoreless fourth quarter.

Girls basketball

NON-LEAGUE

Pacifica Christian 51, La Quinta 33: Lauryn Ham of Pacifica Christian was the high scorer with 15 points and also reached the 1,000-career mark for points.

Caylie Villagrana had 12 points and Vivian Villagrana seven points for Pacifica Christian.

Canyon 54, Santa Ana 32: The Comanches were led by Mariah Streeter (15 points) and Sofi Majidi (12 points).
