Three Orange County teams earned top seeds for the CIF girls water polo playoffs that begin on Tuesday, CIF officials announced Saturday.
Crestview League champion Foothill is seeded first in the open division. Orange Lutheran, Los Alamitos and Laguna Beach are also seeded in the top four for the open division.
Dana Hills is seeded fourth in Division 2.
In Division 3, all four top seeds are from Orange County. JSerra, an at-large entry from the Trinity League, is seeded first in Division 3. Sunny Hills is second, El Toro third and Irvine fourth.
Buena Park is seeded second in Division 4.
Rosary, an at-large entry from the Trinity League, is seeded first in Division 5 and Valencia is seeded second and Savanna is seeded fourth in Division 6.
CIF officials said that 152 teams will battle for seven divisional championships. Opening round match-ups are Tuesday, Feb. 7. The tournament will wrap up with the finals on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the William J. Woollet Jr. Aquatics Center.
