ESTANCIA COAST CLASSIC

Gold Division

Irvine 65, Arlington 60: The Vaqueros finished the tournament with a win Saturday. Cooper Stearns had 33 points and earned his 1,000th career point with the Vaqueros. Stearns, a junior, recently returned to action after a shoulder injury. Felix Bublitz had 10 points, Jaesang An nine points and Finn Hoffman 24 points including two clutch free throws for the Vaqueros (9-9).

Valencia 51, El Modena 39 (championship) CLICK HERE FOR COVERAGE

Tarbut V’ Torah 65, Pioneer 62: The Lions upset Pioneer, ranked No. 1 in the CIF 5A division, to capture third place. Jake Gobletz-Brown had 27 points, Yonah Light 17 points and Ari Veron 10 points.

DAMIEN CLASSIC

Foothill 55, Pacifica Christian 52: The Knights (10-6) avenged an earlier loss this season to Pacifica Christian. Isaiah Bernard scored 15 points and had five rebounds, Travis Paleo had 11 points and Mansur McClain eight points and three rebounds to lead Foothill.

Crean Lutheran 69, Hillcrest (Idaho) 65: The Saints (7-7) were led by Kaiden Bailey who had 29 points. Milanas Luksas had 18 points.

Northwood 61, Saugus 52: The Timberwolves (12-5) were led by Zaid Yunis, who had 17 points and Sidd Raj who had 17 points. Justin Liu had 12 points and seven rebounds and Ryan Abaye nine points and nine assists.

THE HOLIDAY CLASSIC

JSerra 67, Montgomery 53: The Lions captured fifth place in the tournament. Drew Bowman led JSerra with 19 points. Sebastian Rancik added 19 points and Aidan Fowler 12 points to lead JSerra (15-1).

Santa Margarita 56, Torrey Pines 50: The Eagles finished the tournament 3-1 and won the National Division consolation championship. Cameron McNamee had 20 points and four 3-pointers and Dallas Washington and DeMarco Johnson nine points each. Tobias Averill had five steals and six assists.

Aliso Niguel 60, Indio 43: The Wolverines (15-3) went 4-0 to capture the tournament title in their division. Jay Keys scored 16 points and was named all-tourney. Noah Shihad, who was also all-tourney, added 10 points and Garrett Trayer, who had nine points, was named MVP.

Sonora 52, Laces 39

OXFORD ACADEMY TOURNAMENT

Godinez 55, Oxford Academy 31: The Grizzlies (12-6) took third place and Lucas Andaluz had 22 points and was named all-tournament.

CAROLINA INVITATIONAL

Newport Harbor 78, University (WV) 59: Jack Berry had 28 points and 10 assists, Riggs Guy had 17 points and Cole Leinart 13 points to lead Newport Harbor (16-2) to its third consecutive tournament title.

Girls basketball

CHRISTINA MAUSER MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Portola 79, Edison 14: Portola (14-3) was led by Kira Watanabe who had 33 points and a career high and school record 11 3-pointers. Portola captured third place with the win and Watanabe was named to the all-tournament team.

Vianna Pineda had 12 points and Kalynne Abraham-Mendez 11 points for Portola.
