It was another exciting weekend of high school football in Orange County, which included a thrilling Pacific Coast League game between Portola and Woodbridge which went down to the final play.
Portola won 35-28 to capture the Pacific Coast League title outright, most likely ending the 32-year coaching career of Woodbridge Coach Rick Gibson.
Now, the Bulldogs (who are in the playoffs in only their second varsity season) and other OC teams wait for find out their placement in the CIF playoffs.

Also, Orange defeated Santa Ana 57-13 to capture the Orange Coast League title and Cypress, behind the four touchdown game of Isaac Hurtado, defeated Pacifica 42-14 to capture the outright Empire League title. Trabuco Hills clinched a CIF playoff berth with a 26-21 victory over Aliso Niguel and Sunny Hills likely moved to the No. 1 spot in Division 8 with a 48-16 victory over Troy.
