San Clemente 83, University 62: The Tritons (8-3) were led by Porter Hansen, who scored 28 points. Christian Fernandez had 21 points and six assists, Will Whidden 12 points and nine rebounds and Chase Tolliver eight points and 19 rebounds. Hansen and Fernandez each had 4, three-pointers. University (1-8) was led by Isaac Evans who had 31 points and six 3-pointers and Christian DeBarge, who had 20 points.
LB Wilson 80, Irvine 55: Irvine (6-5) lost its home opener Wednesday. Jalen Yim scored 17 points, Deacon Moss 10 points and Ali Dai eight points to lead the Vaqueros, who host Brea Olinda Friday night. Irvine continues to play without star center Cooper Stearns, who is sidelined with a separated shoulder.
Sonora 39, La Serna 36: Eric Castillo made two key free throws with five seconds left to clinch the victory for the Raiders (4-3).

El Camino 79, San Juan Hills 62: The Stallions were led by Nate Brosch, who scored 20 points.
Mater Dei 89, Capo Valley Christian 61: Mater Dei (5-0) was led by Brannon Martinsen, who had 21 points and Blake Davidson and Scotty Belnap who had 18 points each. Michael Aher led CVC (2-5) with 23 points. Cetin Seles added 15 points.
