Cypress 60, Pacifica 47: The Centurions had a balanced attack with great ball movement in the Empire League game, according to Coach Derek Mitchell. Michael Wright had 12 points and Kason White and Ryan Gov each had 10 points for Cypress (11-11, 3-1).
“I’m proud of our effort tonight,” Mitchell said. ” Our guys put a lot of energy and emotion into Tuesday, and we still came out we’re focused on the moment. Next up is Tustin (Saturday at 1 p.m. Boss (Coach Ringo Bossenmeyer) has them playing at a high level right now. It will be another competitive game for us. “
Pacifica (11-11, 1-3) was led by Ethan Lee who had 14 points and three, 3-pointers.
Crean Lutheran 88, Valencia 48: The Saints (15-5, 4-0) remained atop the Empire League standings with the win. Kaiden Bailey had 21 points, four rebounds and four assists; Milanas Luksas had 17 points and five rebounds; Dylan Gomez had 13 points and Kenneth Bailey 11 points and three rebounds.
Tustin 48, Kennedy 33: Josh Birket had 15 points and eight rebounds to lead Tustin (16-6, 3-1).
Pacifica Christian 51, Orangewood Academy 47: EJ Spillman scored 18 points, Alex Stewart had 13 points and nine rebounds and Salim Seeman scored 10 points to lead the Tritons (16-8, 3-1) to a San Joaquin League victory.
Tarbut V’ Torah 68, The Web School 64: Yonah Light led TVT to a big comeback in the 4th quarter to defeat league rival The Web School in an Academy League game Thursday night. The Lions trailed by 19 points with five minutes to go, TVT outscored Webb 29-8 in the final quarter. Light finished with 33 points and 14 rebounds. Isaac Joelson added 18 points for the Lions (10-5, 3-2).
