Newport Harbor’s boys basketball team captured the championship of the St. Margaret’s Tournament, defeating a previously undefeated Valley Christian team 64-58 Saturday night.
Newport Harbor (10-3) was led by Ryan Miller with 22 points, Levi Darrow with 17 points and Luke Bashore with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Darrow and Bashore were named to the all-tournament team and Robbie Spooner was named tournament MVP.
Colony 57, Tesoro 53: Colony edged Tesoro in the championship game of the Gary Raya So Cal Elite Classic. Tesoro was trying to repeat as tournament champions. The Titans Matt DeAngelo and Kaden Garrett were named to the all-tournament team. Garrett had 23 points and five rebounds and DeAngelo 21 points and seven rebounds for the Titans (9-2).
Woodbridge 61, Esperanza 53: Woodbridge wrapped up the Gary Raya Classic with a victory in the consolation round Saturday at Portola.
Eli Hill scored 16 points, Nygle Williams had 14 points and Steven Mimaya contributed 13 points for the Warriors (1-10).
Esperanza (1-11) was led by Brady Francis and Derek Perry with 15 points each. Matt Christensen had 11 points for the Aztecs.
Beach Bash Tournament:
Corona del Mar 64, West Torrance 63: Jack Stone scored 23 points and Vanis Buckholz and Efe Gucoglu added 12 points for the Sea Kings in a consolation round game at the tournament. Stone scored 10 points in the final 33 seconds including five points with less than eight seconds remaining, according to CdM Coach Ryan Schachter.
Mater Dei 90, Pacifica Christian 38: The Monarchs (6-0) won the championship at the Beach Bash Tourney.

Laguna Beach 54, Yorba Linda 42 (third place)
