Portola quarterback Brandon Yue, who led the Bulldogs to their first Pacific Coast League title, has been named the league’s most valuable player.
Yue, a senior, was a dual threat quarterback for the Bulldogs, who won the league title and Dennis Toohey Fence Post Trophy and advanced into the second round of the CIF playoffs. Portola finished with a 10-2 record.
Portola”s sophomore running back Nova Kebeli was named offensive MVP and Northwood lineman Xavier Cousar was named the defensive player of the year. He led the Timberwolves to a second place league finish and 8-3 overall record. Woodbridge placekicker Jakob Trestik was named the MVP kicker.
