“Our guys played with great intensity on all three facets of the game,” Coach Joseph Tagaloa said Saturday. “Our offense got going on the first possession of the game when Jesse Lopez hit Cristian Ramos for the first touchdown. Noah Tagaloa scored on the next two offensive possessions and returned an interception for a touchdown giving us a four touchdown lead.
“Our defense made plays all night putting pressure on the QB and playing great coverage. Gilbert Peralta played solid on the defensive line helping shut down the run. Vicente Rivera intercepted a deflected pass from his defensive tackle position as well. Our special teams was led by Sean Chandler who was flying to the ball all night.”
Segerstrom takes on El Modena Thursday at Fred Kelly Stadium.
“I’m very proud of our effort and look forward to next week as we take on El Modena,” Tagaloa said.
El Modena (3-0) defeated Newport Harbor 55-35 Friday night.
