Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills and Yorba Linda also capture victories Thursday.
LOARA 72, LA QUINTA 68: Loara (11-16, 5-5) was led by 6-5 sophomore center Markus Toscano who scored 23 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked four shots.
Senior forward Elias Farhat had 16 points and junior guard Luke Recinto added 18 points on 3-pointers.
La Quinta (16-10, 7-3) was led by senior point guard Ty Tran who had 16 points before fouling out in the fourth period La Quinta came into the game as the No-2ranked team in CIF Division 5AA. La Quinta goes into the playoffs as the second place team out of the Garden Grove League. Loara finished in fourth place.
CREAN LUTHERAN 101, VALENCIA 49: The Saints (21-3, 9-0) were led by Parker Tuttle, who had 20 points. He made six 3-pointers in the third quarter. Rui Han had 18 points, Vyctorious Miller 16 points, four rebounds and eight assists and Koat Keat 14 points and eight rebounds. Crean Lutheran had already clinched the outright league title.
CYPRESS 71, KENNEDY 44: The Centurions (14-12, 7-3) earned a tie for second place with Tustin in the Empire League with the victory and are headed to the CIF 2AA playoffs. Kody Papke had 17 points and made all three 3-point shots. He also had eight rebounds and two steals. Devin Francisco had 10 points and five rebounds and Evan Huckabee nine points.
“I’m really proud of the guys, they have bought in and continued to progress throughout the season,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. “Hopefully, we get a good matchup for us in playoffs. Anyone can be great on any given night. We are excited to compete against the best.”
TUSTIN 44, PACIFICA 34: The TIllers (20-8, 7-3) were led by Julian Flores, who scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Top scorer for Pacifica (13-8, 1-8) was Shaun Fabisiak with nine points.
FOOTHILL 48, VILLA PARK 46: The Knights (24-2, 5-1) were led by Braedyn Benhard, who had 14 points and four rebounds, Cruz Billings, who had 10 points and five assists and Carlo Billings, who scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds.
COSTA MESA 68, ORANGE 42: The Mustangs (10-16, 5-4) clinched third place in the Orange Coast League with the victory. Aiden Spallone had 15 points and seven rebounds, Nate Shipper had 12 points and four assists and Josh Galamgam had 13 points, four rebounds and four assists.
ALISO NIGUEL 68, EL TORO 52: The Wolverines (20-7, 4-2) were led by Tyler Weaver, who scored 18 points; Brandon Novida, who had 12 points and Tyler Noxon, who had 11 points.
SAN CLEMENTE 54, CAPO VALLEY 37: The Tritons (17-7, 5-3) were led by Asher Gardiner, who had 17 points and Charlie Spaeth, who had 12 points. Tanner Mehrens had nine points and Easton Cattich eight points.
SANTA MARGARITA 73, ORANGE LUTHERAN 63: Santa Margarita (19-3, 7-3) wrapped up second place in the Trinity League with a victory. Rockwell Reynolds scored 23 points and Jake Heberle had 22 points to lead the Eagles.
SAN JUAN HILLS 72, DANA HILLS 49: The Stallions (23-4, 6-0) were led by Mark Reichner, who had 20 points. Marcus Parks had 15 points and Thomas Hattan nine points.
PORTOLA 56, BECKMAN 55: The Bulldogs, who won the Pacific Coast League title Tuesday, defeated the Patriots. Eugene Jung scored 15 points, Colin Huang had 12 points and Devin Daniel 10 points to lead Portola (16-7, 10-2). Dowon Kim had 16 points and Yousif Zanana 11 points for Beckman (10-17, 6-6).
LAGUNA HILLS 58, WOODBRIDGE 44: The Hawks (13-12, 5-6) captured a Pacific Coast League victory at Woodbridge. Dominic Bolton had 25 points, Michael Bichel 17 points and Elijah Laquian 12 points to lead Laguna Hills. Woodbridge (11-15, 6-5) was led by Aaron Long, who had 25 points and Josh Lomboy who scored 10.
The two teams have a makeup game Saturday at 1 p.m. at Woodbridge with the winner taking second place in league.
YORBA LINDA 58, EL MODENA 37: The Mustangs (13-15, 4-2) were led by Troy Provenzano, who had 14 points.
