BOYS

Pacific Coast League Tournament

Championship semifinals

Sage Hill 75, Portola 72

Laguna Hills 60, Woodbridge 53

Note: Laguna Hils will meet Sage Hill in the championship game Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Portola.

Consolation semifinals

Beckman 61, Irvine 34: Caydon Do had 15 points and Jaden Santos nine points to lead to lead Beckman. Irvine was led by Daniel Shin, who scored 10 points. The Vaqueros continued to play without their top player, 6-4 sophomore center Cooper Stearns, who is out injured, according to Coach Harry Meussner. Stearns is expected back for the CIF playoffs if Irvine (14-13) receives an at-large berth, the coach added.

Northwood 71, University 66: Zaid Yunis had 26 points and Aditya Sheth 18 points and eight rebounds to lead Northwood. Justin Liu added eight points and five rebounds.

Empire League

Crean Lutheran 69, Kennedy 42: Kaiden Bailey scored 26 points, grabbed three rebounds and four assists to lead the league champion Saints (21-7, 10-0). Kenneth Bailey had 14 points, four rebounds and seven assists and Dylan Gomez seven points for the Saints, who will open the CIF Division 1 playoffs next week.

Cypress 50, Tustin 35: The Centurions locked up second place in the Empire League with a victory Thursday night. Kason White led the Centurions with 17 points. Michael Wright added eight points with two 3-pointers.

“It’s been a busy week for us with three games in four days,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. “Our guys don’t quit, they come out and compete every day. Now we wait for our draw. We aren’t ranked, so we will most likely be on the road somewhere come Wednesday. The boys are excited to continue on for at least one more game.”

Cypress will be competing in the CIF 2A playoffs.

Wave League

Newport Harbor 56, Corona del Mar 41: The Sailors (20-8, 6-0) finished league play undefeated. Isaac Davis scored 21 points and Riggs Guy 12 points for Newport Harbor, which will compete in the 3AA playoff division.

Golden West League

Ocean View 43, Katella 34: Senior Peyton Guerrero scored 22 points and freshman Lerroy Davis added seven points for Ocean View. With the victory, Ocean View clinched at least a tie for second place.

Note: There is a three-way tie for third in the league between Godinez, Westminster and Katella. Godinez will play Westminster at 4:30 p.m. at Katella and the winner will play Katella at 7 p.m. to determine third place and a CIF playoff berth, according to Godinez AD Bill Snyder.

Crestview League

Canyon 61, Villa Park 49

North Hills League

El Dorado 64, Brea Olinda 38: The Golden Hawks were led by Cooper Bladow, who scored 17 points and made three, 3-pointers. Jacob Arce scored 12 points and Logan Mounce eight points for El Dorado (15-13, 2-4). The Hawks finished third in the league.

Trinity League

JSerra 83, Orange Lutheran 75: The Lions (19-8, 4-5) were led by Aidan Fowler, who had 25 points and Sebastian Rancik, who had 24 points. Everett Bryson added 15 points for JSerra.

Mater Dei 75, Servite 53

St. John Bosco 56, Santa Margarita 48

Freeway League

Sonora 70, Sunny Hills 55

GIRLS

Golden West League

Segerstrom 36, Godinez 31: The Jaguars used a strong fourth quarter to earn a share of the Golden West League title with Godinez.

Empire League

Crean Lutheran 74, Kennedy 28

Pacific Coast League

Woodbridge 64, Beckman 37: Hana Watanabe scored 17 points, Maddie Yasui 15 points and Milan Heisdorf 11 points for Woodbridge (16-10, 2-4). The Warriors finished third in the PCL.

Orange Coast League
