Crean Lutheran High School’s star guard Taylor Feldman made a verbal commitment Monday night to play college basketball at Northern Arizona University, Saints co-head coach Bianca Ziemann said.
“So proud and blessed to announce I have received an offer and verbally committed to play D1 basketball at Northern Arizona University,” Feldman said in an Email.
“I want to give a special thank you to my amazing family for all the support and love they have always given me. I also want to thank my high school and club coaches and trainers for always pushing me to be my best. Thank you to Coach Loree (Payne) and the entire staff for giving me this opportunity. Couldn’t have done it without all the encouragement and love from everyone around me. Can’t wait to be a Lumberjack.”
Feldman, a 5-8 senior, reached the 2,000-point mark in her career last November.
This season, she is averaging 26.5 points a game, six assists, 4.2 steals and 6.5 rebounds for the Saints, who are 12-3.
“Coach Rachael (Ziemann) and I are absolutely blessed to have coached Taylor Feldman for the past three years,” said Bianca Ziemann, the Saints co-head coach.
“We are so proud of this huge accomplishment and we know it is only the beginning for her. We are excited she will continue her growth as a player on and off the court at a very well-respected school and basketball program. Go Saints and Lumberjacks.”
