Crean Lutheran’s homecoming game with La Habra moved to SoFi Stadium

Crean Lutheran’s football homecoming game with La Habra will be played at SoFi Stadium, the home of the Rams and Chargers, on Friday night, Oct. 16, school officials announced Friday.

The game, which will be part of the Bravo League schedule, will start at 8:30 p.m.

“As Crean Lutheran celebrates its 20th year of Proclaiming Jesus Christ through Excellence in Education, we have been blessed with a special opportunity for our school community,” a statement from Principal Dr. Daniel Moyer said.

The release was sent to the Crean Lutheran community Friday.

“Following discussion among key leaders and careful consideration of the timing, costs, transportation, and broader Homecoming experience, Crean Lutheran has decided to move forward with the event. Although football will bring us to SoFi Stadium, this will remain a Crean Lutheran Homecoming celebration involving many parts of our school community. Our Senior Homecoming Court will be presented at halftime, and our spirit teams will perform at one of the country’s premier athletic venues.

“We recognize that the late start time and off-campus venue will require additional planning. Crean Lutheran is arranging rooter buses to help students attend and return safely.”

Additional information regarding tickets, transportation, parking, waivers, stadium policies, and other logistics will be provided soon, school officials said.

La Habra (5-0) and Crean Lutheran (3-2) have byes this week before opening league play next week.
