The Concordia University Irvine softball team claimed the PacWest conference title during the 2018 season which was its first since the school completed the transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II.
It will be a big night on Sasturday, Sept. 22 during the 5 p.m. women’s volleyball match between Concordia University Irvine and Chaminade as Concordia athletics honor the 2018 CUI softball team.
Led by head coach Crystal Rosenthal and freshman sensation Callie Nunes, the Eagles enjoyed an amazing season capped off by a 24-2 run in the month of April that helped them claim the title of 2018 PacWest Conference champions.
It’s the first time a Concordia squad has earned a PacWest Conference crown since the school completed the transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II.
Between the second and third sets on Saturday, PacWest commissioner Bob Hogue and CUI Athletic Director Mo Roberson will present the Eagles with their trophy.
