Free throw shooting was the emphasis Tuesday as Beckman High School basketball players each attempted 50 free throws during the team’s summer camp.
“Players were responsible for getting sponsors to sponsor them on a per made free throw basis or simply just a flat amount,” said Beckman’s first year coach Lucas Armstrong.
The top three shooters were Sam Evans, who made 47; Sidd Raj, who hit 46 and Shayan Jafari, who made 45, according to Armstrong.
Armstrong has taken over for John Goins, who resigned after six seasons.
