Toby Averill from Santa Margarita High School and Isaac Evans from University are in Chicago for a camp preparing to represent the United States in the 2022 International Maccabiah basketball games in Israel, according to local basketball coach Jerry Neitlich.
The players will compete on the under-16 team, said Neitlich, who was named assistant coach at Tarbut V’ Torah on Friday.
The games are scheduled to take part between July 12 and July 26 and will include approximately 10,000 athletes.
