Trevor Ernt pitched a complete game shutout, striking out 14 and scattering five hits for Beckman (20-4, 12-1).

Alec Gomez had a big two out RBI to drive in Connor McGuire.

“Trevor was in control the whole game,” said Beckman Coach Kevin Lavalle. “He’s had some gems in his career here, but I think today he knew what was at stake, and he gave us everything he had.

“It is just a great memory for all the guys, but especially for the seniors. I’m honored to have been a part of it. The eighth PCL championship is as sweet as the first. It never gets old.”

Northwood (10-10-1, 8-5) wraps up league play with a two-game series next week against Irvine.
