Beckman High’s baseball team wrapped up its eighth Pacific Coast League title and second in a row defeating Northwood 4-0 Friday afternoon at Beckman.

Trevor Ernt pitched a complete game shutout, striking out 14 and scattering five hits for Beckman (20-4, 12-1).
Alec Gomez had a big two out RBI to drive in Connor McGuire.

“Trevor was in control the whole game,” said Beckman Coach Kevin Lavalle. “He’s had some gems in his career here, but I think today he knew what was at stake, and he gave us everything he had.
“It is just a great memory for all the guys, but especially for the seniors. I’m honored to have been a part of it. The eighth PCL championship is as sweet as the first. It never gets old.”
Northwood (10-10-1, 8-5) wraps up league play with a two-game series next week against Irvine.
