Pacifica Christian’s girls basketball team, after capturing its first CIF title, now moves on to the CIF State Championships on Tuesday.
The Tritons (25-8) are seeded seventh in Division III and will host No. 10 Santa Monica Tuesday at 7 p.m.
In the CIF 4A finals, the Tritons defeated Temple City 69-44 and were led by Addison Deal, who scored 25 points, Lauryn Ham, who had 14 points, and Annika Jiwani, who had 11 points.
Pacifica Christian’s head coach is Chyanne Butler and the assistant coach is Katie Cunningham. Pacifica Christian also won its third league title in the past four seasons with an 8-0 record.
