With the orange smoke still hovering from Powder’s goal, the Orange County SC star midfielder unleashed a left-footed effort from outside the penalty area. The shot bounced past Byars and sparked a massive celebration from the supporters, players and coaches.
Orange County SC now sits atop the USL’s Western Conference with 54 points, one ahead of Real Monarchs SLC and Phoenix Rising FC.
The club will return to action next Sunday, Sept. 16 on the road at Fresno FC before returning home to host Real Monarchs on Wednesday, Sept.19.
