Orange County high school baseball highlights and final scores for Wednesday, April 23

NORTH HILLS LEAGUE

LA HABRA 5, YORBA LINDA 0: The Highlanders (15-8, 5-2) were led by Isaac Aguirre, who pitched a complete game shutout with eight strikeouts and four hits allowed. Bobby Brooks was 2 for 2 with two runs scored and a stolen base, Jonah Mayo had a two-run double in the seventh inning and Andrew Gandara was 1 for 2 with a an RBI.

SUNSET LEAGUE

NEWPORT HARBOR 5, HUNTINGTON BEACH 2: The Sailors (18-6, 10-4) were led by Tyler Clark, who earned the win on the mound. Elijah Haseth earned the save. Lucas Perez, Adam Martin and Keoni Wun all had two hits for Newport Harbor in the win over the league-leading Oilers.

Edison 3, Corona del Mar 1

CRESTVIEW LEAGUE

FOOTHILL 4, EL MODENA 1 (10 innings): The Knights (16-8, 5-4) won the game in the 10th inning on a three-run home run by Sean Green. Kyle Telson earned the win, allowing two hits in three innings. Gavin Lauridsen started, pitching seven innings, allowing two hits and a run and striking out nine. Jason Gugino was 2 for 4 with two runs scored, Ezekiel Vargas was 1 for 4 with a run scored and Lauridsen had a sacrifice fly.

El Dorado 4, Cypress 0

PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE

LAGUNA BEACH 8, PORTOLA 0: The Breakers (20-3, 10-1) captured the Pacific Coast League title with the win. Branson Wade went the distance, allowing four hits and striking out 10. He did not walk a batter. Parker Moore was 3 for 4 with three doubles and four RBI and Jackson Arrisan was 2 for 4 with a double, run scored and a stolen base.

NORTHWOOD 6, UNIVERSITY 3: The Timberwolves captured the first game of a two-game series at Uni Wednesday.

IRVINE 4, SAGE HILL 0: Drake Brito threw a no-hitter for Irvine, which improved its record to 8-4 in league.

SEGERSTROM 6, ESTANCIA 5: The Jaguars exploded for five runs in the fourth inning to earn the win at Segerstrom.
